Artists and artisans in the Natisone Valleys: visit to the willow grove

In anticipation of the Christmas Market, the Pro Loco Nediške Doline is organising a series of events dedicated to the artists and craftsmen of the Natisone Valleys.

On Saturday, 9 November 2024, there will be a guided tour of the willow grove by the artist Luisella Goria. After her art studies, Luisella Goria deepened her knowledge of hand weaving and later, for more than twenty years, the art of weaving (professional course in France).

He chooses to produce most of the material he uses himself, cultivating a willow grove with dozens of different varieties in terms of colour, ductility and growth. His basketry is innovative in its design and in the combination of the natural colours of the branches used, without excluding creations more closely linked to tradition. A delicious snack with local products will be offered at the end of the visit.

Programme:

10.00 a.m. gathering at the Tarcetta car park, in front of the Alpini hut.

10.15 a.m. walk to the willow grove and naturalistic explanation of willow cultivation.

11.00 am visit to the workshop of the artisan Luisella Goria.

12.00 noon return to the car park, the event will take place with a minimum of 5 people.

Participants are invited to bring a pair of boots/boots for the visit to the willow grove or a change of shoes. They will then be able to change their shoes at the entrance to the craft workshop.
