The XVIII Mitteleuropa Forum is concluded, a success for cross-border cities

The 18th International Forum of the Aquileian Euroregion ended on September 30, which saw the representatives of six cross-border cities sharing their vision of the future of Europe.

The Mitteleuropa Forum this year saw an edition that allowed an exchange of testimonies and experiences of six cross-border cities, thanks to the presence of representatives from Frankfurt on the Oder (Germany), Slubice (Poland), Valga (Estonia), Valka (Latvia), Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and Gorizia (Italy).

The case of EGTC GO and Nova Gorica and Gorizia as the first and only cross-border European capital of culture was also presented.

Participants agreed on the importance of the event and the need to make it an annual event to show the success of European integration to the Union and other member states.
