The call for abstracts "GO Borderless museums" is now online!
From 18 to 21 May 2025, a large international conference will be held in Nova Gorica and Gorizia where museums will be discussed and relations for future collaborations between museums will be developed.
The title of the conference is "Borderless Museums. Redefining Museum Narratives and Inclusivity".
Conference topics include
• Exchanging Best Practices: Museums as Borderless Platforms of Knowledge
• Ethics in Museums: Curatorial Roles and Dilemmas
• Museums Serving Their Communities: Building Connections
• Hidden Frontiers: Plural Communities Reflecting on History and Shaping the Future
• Transnational and Cross-Border Museum Collaboration: Strengths, Weaknesses, Challenges, and Opportunities
• Museums and the European Capital of Culture: Sharing Experiences and Best Practices
The conference is being organised by ICOM Slovenija, ICOM Italia, ICOM Europe, ICOM South East Europe, EGTC GO and Javni zavod GO! 2025.
