EGTC GO meets with EGTC Via Carpatia

EGTC GO meets with EGTC Via Carpatia

On Monday, the 9th of September, we hosted three representatives of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Via Carpatia from Slovakia.

The EGTC Via Carpatia deals with the cooperation of the Košice region and Boršod county, i.e. the cooperation between two different countries (Slovakia and Hungary), which it supports through various projects in different fields such as ecology, education, economy, employment and many other topics.

The visit gave us the opportunity to exchange experiences and practices of cross-border cooperation. After an interesting conference, where we presented our respective organisations and the projects we are developing, we went to visit the Europe square, which is currently being renovated. We then went to Solkan, where we showed them the investments of the Isonzo Soča project, financed by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Programme 2014-2020, that is, the foot bridge over the Soča river and the bicycle paths.

The visit gave the guests an insight into our border area and the strong cooperation between the cities.

We are always ready to collaborate with other institutions that share our commitment to cross-border integration and international cooperation.
