A concert by cellist Erik Friedlander, who comes to Nova Gorica with his new album Dirty Boxing.

ERIK FRIEDLANDER’S »THE THROW«   Erik Friedlander, cello  Uri Caine, piano Mark Helias, double bass Ches Smith, drums   Cellist Erik Friedlander arrives in Nova Gorica with his new album Dirty Boxing, with which he ‘ventures into the ring of music’. Here he transforms ‘dirty boxing’ into an enchanting experience that explores unexpected parallels between the disciplined art of music and the strategic fight of mixed martial arts.   His ensemble offers powerful musical blends of intensity and grace with a hint of martial spirit, creating a sound that is sure to amaze and even derail you a little.
