Unveiling of the learning point and opening of the art exhibition by Franco Golob

As part of Culture Week, a learning point will be unveiled at the Peace Monument in Cerje on Wednesday, 5 February at 6 pm.
The Learning Point is part of a network of selected locations in Slovenia that offer unique educational content of interest to all, especially the younger generations. Each Learning Point offers engaging information on Slovenian culture, history, important personalities, special world landmarks, technological achievements, various business activities, places, buildings, projects, etc. It provides visitors with a rich and unique experience of acquiring new knowledge through an original learning experience.
The event will also be enhanced by the opening of the art exhibition "Jubilee Walk Across Creative Turning Points" by Frantz Golob.
Franc Golob, academic painter, born in 1941 in Celje, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. He lives and works in Osek near Šempas and has exhibited in Slovenia and abroad. In the exhibition he will present two series of paintings: 'Global Eco Gardens' (2013), which stands out for its colour and vegetation motifs, and 'Earth Signs' (2023/2024), monochrome works in earth tones with symbolic signs and esoteric content.
