FVG Bike Trail

The FVG Bike Trail is a sustainable bikepacking experience that leads cycle tourists to discover the landscaping, cultural, and gastronomic excellence of Friuli Venezia Giulia. A route that rides through villages, trails, and secondary roads, combining sport, exploration, and territorial enhancement. An experience that goes beyond cycling: a journey that leaves a mark.

The FVG Bike Trail returns in September 2025 for its second edition, following the success of 2024, which saw 475 cyclists ride across Friuli Venezia Giulia, with participants coming from the region, the rest of Italy, and 23% from abroad (Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, USA).

The 2025 edition will start from Udine, the vibrant heart of Friuli, offering two distinct routes:

• 200 km, for those who want to immerse themselves in the experience over a shorter distance,

• 380 km, for those seeking a deeper and more intense journey through the region. The trails will take cyclists through diverse landscapes, reaching Cividale del Friuli, from where they will ride along the Italy-Slovenia border towards Nova Gorica/Gorizia, the 2025 European Capital of Culture, before heading towards the coast and Trieste. This route blends history, nature, and culture, passing through medieval villages, gravel roads, and breathtaking scenery.

More than just an event, the FVG Bike Trail is a journey that invites you to discover, explore, and experience the region without filters, embracing the true spirit of bikepacking.
