Literary Evening "Oltreconfine Ungaretti"

Debut of “Oltreconfine Ungaretti” in the locality of “Mattina” poem Greetings: Mayor Fabio Petenà, Municipal Councillor for Culture Michele Cignacco; Francesco Accomando, actor and director, artistic director of "Oltreconfine Ungaretti" will read passages from poems and prose by Ungaretti. Speakers: Antonino Di Colloredo Mels will address some moments of Ungaretti's life, painting a figure of a man a little different from the myth of the poet/soldier.

Carlo Del Mestre will make an ideal comparison between Ungaretti and Thomas Mann and on a comparison/dispute between German and Italian culture Giulia Sattolo will highlight the context in which Ungaretti found himself, the natural and agricultural landscape of Friuli devastated by the war and the human anthropological signs especially religious signs to which peasant culture tends to hold on to. The readings will be accompanied by live music by the Duo Francesco Imbriaco and Davide Raciti. At the end of the evening a toast to celebrate the debut of the project
