From 18 to 27 July, Cividale del Friuli turns into the European stage of culture with the 34th edition of Mittelfest, dedicated this year to the provocative and fascinating theme of Taboo. A multidisciplinary festival spanning theatre, music, dance and circus, capable of interweaving spectacle and reflection in a unique artistic journey.

Mittelfest is much more than just a festival: it is an experience designed for everyone, from art enthusiasts to curious spectators, from families to young cultural explorers. Alongside the performances, the programme offers a rich variety of side activities: creative workshops, close encounters with artists, moments of dialogue and discussion, and initiatives dedicated to children to bring them closer to the world of art and entertainment. 

The Taboo theme becomes the thread running through every artistic proposal, bringing to light what is hidden, forbidden or forgotten. The artists on stage, from all over Europe, challenge conventions and confront the unwritten laws of society, in a continuous exploration of boundaries, silences and possibilities.
