Mondo Mizuki, Mondo Yokai

The first Italian anthological exhibition of Shigeru Mizuki, one of the great masters of Japanese manga 100 original artworks, many being exhibited for the first time outside of Japan, with reproductions, magazines, books, video documents and critical texts to recreate the universe of the Japanese Master.

This is Mondo Mizuki, Mondo Yokai, the exhibition curated by Canicola and Vincenzo Filosa which, from the 26th of April to the 30th of August 2025, brings to Casa Cavazzini in Udine the creative universe of a Master without equal, a specialist in stories of yokai - the monstrous apparitions of Japanese mythology - and a scholar of the relative folklore, with all his unique and deeply personal style.

Organized on the occasion of the twenty-seventh edition of the Far East Film Festival, Mondo Mizuki, Mondo Yokai is the first exhibition in Italy, and the second in Europe after the solo exhibition in Angoulême in 2022, to celebrate one of the greatest authors of Japanese sequential art: an initiative that allows manga-lovers - and everyone else - to lose themselves in a world of unforgettable masterpieces.
