My apothecary 3

My apothecary 3

In the My Apothecary workshops, we will take our first steps into the world of phytopharmacy.

A home pharmacy has always been an important part of every household. Today, herbalists (and many grandmothers) know traditional herbal techniques to extract the active ingredients from plants and mushrooms, which are preserved in the extract "forever". Because we feel it is important to preserve this knowledge so that everyone can make their own home remedies, on 17 April 2025 at 16:00 the Bio/n Future Food Laboratory is hosting a workshop on medicinal extracts, led by herbalist Vita from the Floravita Institute.

In the My Apothecary workshops, we will take our first steps into the world of phytopharmacy. We will learn what medicinal extracts are, how and what kind we can make ourselves and how to use them as a food supplement to improve our health. We will pay special attention to the different needs and reactions to active substances and the importance of self-observation to determine which ingredients and combinations are best accepted by our bodies.

Vita Matjac, Master in Sociology, passionate forager, certified herbalist, farmer and all-round artist has been studying the use of edible wild plants, herbs and mushrooms in everyday nutrition and medicine for many years, exploring the diversity of their use and storage. Through her practice, she explores the process of "domesticating" wild plants, herbs and mushrooms as part of a vast and complex new-age eco-movement, or rediscovering the hidden potentials of nature.

The workshop is free and suitable for participants of legal age.
