Swim & Run through the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia 

On 2 August 2025 from 17:00 onwards, a unique aquathlon competition will take place: the NO BORDER AQUATHLON!

This is the first cross-border aquathlon race that crosses borders and crosses two states: Italy and Slovenia. With a total distance of 15km of running (250mt D+) and 2000mt of swimming that will take place in the respective swimming pools.

Routes:

Participants, equipped with shoes, swimming cap and goggles, will have the unique opportunity to race not only through two cities, but also through two different countries, exploring the characteristic places of the Capital of Culture 2025.

 

The start and finish will be in Piazza Transalpina, a square divided in half between Italy and Slovenia, an important meeting point of two cities and two cultures.
