Soča from Source to Sea – Rowing Guidebook

Book presentation and photo exhibition.
Mojca Volkar Trobevšek will lead the conversation with the book's author Rok Rozman and photographer Rožle Bregar. The talk will be followed by the opening of a photo exhibition featuring photographs of Soča River from the source to the sea.
The Soča – From the Source to the Sea rowing guide by Rok Rozman was published by Leeway Collective in cooperation with the indispensable director of photography, Rožlet Bregar, with funding from the European Union. The guide covers the entire course of Soča River, from its source deep in the Julian Alps to its outlet in the Gulf of Trieste on the Adriatic Sea.
The 138 kilometres are divided into one hiking and fourteen rowing stages, most of which will take only half a day to complete. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the sights along the river, because river rowing is much more than just rowing itself. You can discover the hidden gems of the turquoise river thrughout one season, or you can explore it in one go, rowing from Trenta Valley to the sea in six days. Eight stages are suitable for beginners, rowers in canoes, mini-kayaks, packrafts and supers, two for intermediates, and four stages are reserved for over-achievers and kayakers. However, the latter, accustomed to short adrenaline-fuelled stretches of wild water, will still enjoy discovering new parts of the river and, above all, new places, people, landscapes, as well as themselves.
