The Kulturni center Lojze Bratuž invites you to a jazz concert The most renowned Icelandic jazz trio, the Sunna Gunnlaugs Trio, will perform on May 24, 2025. Over the past 14 years, the trio has brought its captivating Nordic-Americana approach to prestigious festivals such as the Vancouver Jazz Festival, DC Jazz Fest, London Jazz Fest, Oslo Jazz Fest, Belgrade Jazz Fest, and to top European clubs like Unterfahrt in Munich and Porgy & Bess in Vienna.

Jazz critic Kevin Whitlock from the British magazine Jazzwise recently wrote that Sunna is "undoubtedly one of the best jazz pianist-composers working today." Another British jazz critic, Jon Newey, aptly describes Sunna's music: “...The Sunna Gunnlaugs Trio, whose cool atmosphere and meditative quality draw on Icelandic folk melodies and dark soundscapes, while internally carrying a calm Bill Evans-style swing and a desire to explore the inner soul.” – Jon Newey, Jazzwise, UK.
