Lesson by Dr. Derek Demeter, director of the "Emil Buehler" Planetarium at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida (USA). Understood Concepts: Theory of gravity, scientific method, history of Galileo Galilei.

The hammer and feather experiment was accomplished on Apollo 15 when astronaut Dave Scott dropped both items at the same time and noticed that both fell simultaneously. Why? How? In this lesson we will explore this by doing the same experiment multiple ways using various items you can find around the house.
