Nature, seasons, rites" By Andrea Pastore From autumn to summer the cycles of light and darkness, death and regeneration follow one another and transform, and with them the human effort to contain a generous but also mysterious, capricious nature that changes face from one season to another. And so pagan and Christian celebrations, rituals and beliefs sediment, overlap and contaminate. The attempt to govern and discipline them, implemented by secular and ecclesiastical institutions, is useless. Duccio Balestracci accompanies us to discover the calendar of heaven and earth and leads us to the heart of the relationship with a nature that approaches and moves away, that makes us tremble and love.
