Winter afternoons

Pomeriggi d’inverno, the winter season of the CTA - Centro Teatro Animazione e Figure, celebrates its 25th edition this year, an anniversary that marks a path made of care, research and dedication to young audiences and their families. This event, now a tradition, goes beyond the boundaries of conventional puppet theater, bringing innovative proposals to the stage, where the magic of theater intertwines with other art forms and embraces new expressive languages.

Winter afternoons, Saturday 7 December 2024, 4:30 pm La Piccionaia - The night of presents by and with Gianni Franceschini puppets and figures by Gianni Volpe and Marisa Dolci original music and audio and lighting technician Giancarlo Dalla Chiara +3 duration approximately 50 minutes Gastaldo, the old man who in the Venetian folk tradition during the Christmas holidays helps the gift bearers by driving their cart, is now elderly, and he tells his experience by sharing it with the young spectators. Over time he has had the privilege of accompanying Santa Lucia and the Befana, San Nicola, Santa Claus and even the Three Wise Men; and in his stories he ranges from the mythical stories of northern Europe to Sicily, passing through central Italy. The presents that these fantastic figures make appear before the amazed eyes of the little ones are the magical transformation of the gift that they manage to give to all of humanity every day: light, trust, joy and positivity. A show that Gianni Franceschini tells through figures, live painting, and disguises: elements that create the suggestion of the extraordinary and the fantastic, allowing young spectators to identify with the stories that are told.
