Treccani Festival of the Italian Language – Gorizia 2025

Treccani Festival of the Italian Language (8th Edition) Gorizia 2025 "Borders" April 10–13, 2025 The Treccani Festival of the Italian Language is an annual event organized by the Treccani Cultura Foundation, designed to showcase the most significant themes emerging from Treccani’s ongoing research on the Italian language.

This special edition of the Festival, dedicated to the word “Border”, is organized by the Treccani Cultura Foundation and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Gorizia, and celebrates the fortunate convergence of two particularly significant events: on one hand, Gorizia, together with the neighboring Slovenian city of Nova Gorica, has been named European Capital of Culture 2025; on the other, this year marks the centenary of the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana. Gorizia, a city located at the crossroads of Romance, Slavic, and Germanic cultures, will host a reflection on the concept of “Border” in all its diverse and multifaceted dimensions: from geographical boundaries to the frontiers of scientific research; from the relationship between language, thought, and reality, to the horizons of art and poetry.
