There will be a masterclass by renowned Italian director Alessandro Comodin.

On Tuesday, 23 April 2025 at 16:00, a masterclass by the renowned Italian director Alessandro Comodin, titled Shaping Reality. For the idea of a film on the border, will take place at the Ugo Casiraghi Mediatheque in Gorizia.

The event will shed light on his filmmaking and will be open to the general public, especially to students of the film academies of the two Gorizas. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about his unique creative approach and to delve into the directorial and production processes that shape his film poetics.

The event will be held in English and will be free of charge.

About the speaker:
Alessandro Comodin (1982) is a renowned Italian director, screenwriter and editor. After studying literature in Bologna, he continued his film career in Paris and at the INSAS Academy in Brussels. He grew up in San Vito al Tagliamento in Friuli, and Friuli remains a key part of his films.
