èStoriaBus: COLLIO/GORIŠKA BRDA BETWEEN ITALY AND SLOVENIA

After last year's successful èStoriaBus excursions, this year we are continuing to explore new places and their history. This time we are heading to Goriška Brda/collio goriziano.
We will be travelling through the Brda region - Cuèi in Friulian, in German in den Ecken and Collio in Italian - a landscape generously endowed by nature and transformed by the hand of man through his dedicated work on a fertile land once devastated by either Turkish invasions or world wars.
The beauty of the peaceful hills will accompany us as we discover these places, known above all for their viticulture and excellent wines.
The excursion programme will include a visit to Villa Codelli and Spessa Castle in the morning and Villa Vipolže, the village of Šmartno and its museums and the Church of the Holy Cross in Kojskem in the afternoon. To round off the day, we will visit the Formentini Castle with a banquet.
