On the occasion of their 20th anniversary, Salut Salon take us with fury and enchantment into musical dream worlds, between illusion and reality. Already with the brilliant opening, Astor Piazzolla's ‘Tango del Diablo’, the quartet shows how different dreams can be: turbulent and disturbing, tender and poignant. They goes through the emotions with absolutely thrilling dynamics, using the instruments not only in classical perfection, but also in a wild and imaginative way.

In ‘Dreams’, Salut Salon bring all kinds of magical creatures and fairytale figures to life: with their humor, they make people think and ignite the imagination. Witches are conjured up in Donovan's ‘Season of the Witch’, they fly wildly in Mendelssohn's ‘Valpurga Night’, and the devil wreaks havoc in Prokofiev's ‘Devilish Suggestions’.

Salut Salon know no bounds when it comes to dreaming: the Yiddish piece is full of love of dance, joie de vivre and the desire to be free. The lullaby ‘Nana’ by Georgian composer Sulchan Zinzadze gently touches the soul, evoking a mother and her child dreaming of being able to return to their homeland. Whether Vivaldi, Brahms, Tchaikovsky or Dukas, Salut Salon interpret the works with a charming joy of playing. The quartet amazes the audience with verbal acrobatics, gags, tap dances, and all kinds of surprising effects: a bright spark jumps from one musician to the next, it snows on stage as if in a fairy forest, and even the cello bow, when the rhythm becomes passionate, burns.
