AQUILA D'ORO

The Aquila d'oro holiday home is located in Aquileia at Via Salvemini 2, in the medieval setting of the village of Monastero, within a rustic garden of the former house of the Benedictine nuns. It overlooks a superb archaeological road, 100 metres from the Palaeo-Christian Museum and 30 metres from the entrance to the Roman river port, which leads to the archaeological area of the Domus of Titus Macro and the Roman markets, as well as to the most important monumental complex consisting of the Basilica, from which, with a short walk, one can access the National Archaeological Museum. Renovated philologically in country style, it offers with its large rustic garden a true oasis of peace to disconnect from the stresses that current life imposes on us. It consists of an open space with an equipped kitchen and sleeps three (+ a possible fourth). The room has a gabled ceiling and valuable antique furniture is available to guests. Your hosts, Silvia and Alviano, who are passionate about ancient history and archaeology, are pleased to welcome you to their home and are available to provide information, itineraries, standard and themed guided tours of Aquileia and the main regional art cities, information on traditional ancient cuisine and the history of wine, and a transfer service from the train station (5 minutes away) and the airport (15 minutes away). For guests there is parking space and bicycles that can also be used thanks to the cycle path that runs 30 metres from the holiday home, as well as a welcome basket of typical local products. Cost per night 75 euro for two people, 85 for three people, 90 for four. A minimum stay of two nights is required.
