The Collio vineyards surround Borgo Gradis'ciutta, a complex of buildings dating back to the 1500s now transformed into a facility ready to welcome those who wish to spend a holiday in one of Italy's most important wine-growing areas, experiencing the world of wine and savouring the slow rhythms of the countryside and nature. Robert Princic's Gradis'ciutta winery offers its guests 9 rooms and 3 flats. The rooms overlook the surrounding hills and are all very spacious and equipped with a private bathroom with a courtesy line and hairdryer, soundproofing, independent heating and air conditioning, wardrobe, minibar, TV and Wi-Fi connection. The flats also have an independent, fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is served every morning in a large room or, in fine weather, outside in the garden in the shade of a centuries-old lime tree. Visits to the winery and vineyard, tastings and wine experiences are organised for Borgo Gradis'ciutta guests. The Gradis'ciutta winery, which obtained organic certification in 2018, now has 25 hectares under vine and cultivates indigenous varieties and international vines, vinified in purity or blended to create great blends. It is located in the heart of the Collio wine-growing area, but also a 5-minute drive from the city of Gorizia, European Capital of Culture in 2025 together with Nova Gorica, and just a few kilometres from Cividale del Friuli and Aquileia, both UNESCO heritage sites. In just over half an hour you can also reach Grado, with its long beach and beautiful lagoon. Not forgetting that the border with Slovenia passes just a few kilometres away, where there is a world of stories and places to discover.
