How to get

We are in a little corner of paradise and tranquility on the Karst above Gorizia within an environmentally protected area (part of the Natura 2000 network), in a secluded location but just 2 km from the nearest village and with our organic farm we want to offer you a relaxing break linked to a Slow Tourism type of holiday and, above all, a Sustainable Tourism where the guest is aware of environmental aspects, loves the tranquility and the simplicity of things, can savour the area’s culture and history while enjoying pleasing physical activities such as walking, trips by bike and Nordic walking while appreciating healthy eating with organic food and wine and preferring to visit authentic places of interest.

The complex has a relaxation area with swimming pool, sun-loungers, solarium and Wi-Fi coverage. There is a barbecue area and, in the case of medium and long stays, visitors may use the laundry room with its washing machine and ecological detergents. For those seeking healing and regenerative trips in natural surroundings can do so on short or more challenging walks, or use the organic farm’s bicycles, following the maps of tracks and trails available from reception. Children can have fun in an area reserved for them with a large playground with slides, swings, 5-a-side soccer pitch, basketball, volleyball and a table-tennis table. For the visitors who own an electric car, the organic farm has laid on parking places equipped for recharging their batteries. We look forward to welcoming you and getting to know you but we will be especially happy to accompany you in our day-to-day rural family life, visiting parts of the farm and helping you get to know the area with “The Mini Tour of the Karst Villages” visiting places marked by the history and culture of different peoples: the Roman and Habsburg Empires, the Bourbons , World War I and the border area with the former Yugoslavia. Surroundings Our facilities, in fact, are very well situated from a logistical perspective in that from the Karst plateau you can reach all the sites of our Region Friuli Venezia Giulia in a maximum of one hour by road as well as neighbouring Slovenia and Venice (an hour by train). Indeed, we are only 12 km from the border with Slovenia (in an hour on the motorway you can be in Ljubljana), 15 km from the Adriatic coast, but especially just a few kilometres from the prestigious Castles of Miramare and Duino and UNESCO World Heritage towns such as Aquileia, Cividale and Palmanova. Being located in the Karst a visit to fascinating caves such as the Grotta Gigante, the Skocjan Cave Park in Slovenia and the famous caves at Postojna are all a must. The Parco Rurale “Alture di Polazzo” is the first farm in Friuli Venezia Giulia to have obtained the European Ecology certification ECOLABEL.EU and therefore all eight apartments satisfy the criteria of sustainability and energy efficiency. The eight apartments are all laid out on the ground floor and consist of a bedroom, bathroom with shower, living room with slatted sofa bed, table and chairs, fully equipped kitchen (stove, refrigerator, pans, dishes, plates, etc.), satellite TV, Wi-Fi, a patio or porch and parking.
