VILLA ASIOLA
A large and ancient villa, which we know dates from 1174 when, in the reign of Pope Alexander III, it was owned by Gionata, tre provost of the canons of Saint Felix and Saint Fortunato of Aquileia.
The Villa Asiola, farmhouse residence between Aquileia and Villa Vicentina, was the summer residence of Elisa Baciocchi-Bonaparte, the sister of Napoleon, and, on her death, the property at Villa Vicentina was left to her two children, Federico Napoleone and Napoleone Elisa.
The villa is situated in open countryside, far from the noise of the city but, at the same time, it's eithin easy reach of Aquileia, Grado and the surrounding tourist attractions.
Recent reconstruction has maintained the rural character of the villa, at the same time providing every modern comfort. The large breakfast and living-room area is spacious and comfortable, featuring the traditional "fogolar" (farmhouse hearth). The ten bedrooms, equipped in the country style, are all en suite, and are provided with satellite TV.
All the bedrooms are double or triple, with the possibility of adding extra beds. All rooms are provided with satellite TV. included in the price, large bathroom with shower, hair dryer, towels and central heating. There is a daily maid service.
The property also has a ground-floor bedroom with easy access, specially adapted for the disabled, containing two beds.
A buffet breakfast with fruit juice, yoghurt, rolls and jam, as well as milk and coffee, is served on the large, welcoming room on the ground floor from 7:30 to 10:00.
It is also possible to sample the best local wines by prior arrangement.
As well as the double rooms, it's also available an air-conditioned room for five people and an apartament with a private kitchen.
In addition, within the grounds, there is a large car parking (free and covered) and a tranquil garden with tables and seating for the use of the guests.
