The village where Pier Paolo Pasolini spent his childhood. The Study Center dedicated to him is located in his maternal home, with a rich collection of documents and cinematographic materials.

Casarsa is known by everyone as the village of Pier Paolo Pasolini, who spent much of his childhood and youth here and is buried in the local cemetery. The Centro Studi (study centre) dedicated to him is housed in the maternal home of the poet and preserves a comprehensive documentary heritage and his entire film repertoire.

The village is also renowned as a winemaking centre and home to an important cooperative wine cellar.
