Codroipo’s Park of the Resurgences
The Park of the Resurgences is situated to the south of the town of Codroipo and aims at preserving the local wetland.

The area, of about forty-five hectares, is rich in resurgence waters and watercourses, which contribute to give life to the Stella river. Moreover, it features many typical local flora and fauna species.

The Park of the Resurgences is a natural oasis of great value and, thanks to paths, dirt roads, bridges and picnic areas, it provides the opportunity to enjoy relaxing moments along the many pedestrian routes.

Here one can observe the pools surrounded by the characteristic strips around the resurgence area. In the outermost area of the spring depressions, called molinieto, there are grass species among which the thick stumps of black bog-rush stand out.
The Park of the Resurgences, created in 1983, preserves endemic vegetable species, such as the splendid Amera Helodes and Ecastrum palustre, the symbol of the whole resurgence area.

Near the watercourses, on the other hand, you will see the black alder, the black poplar, the white poplar and the grey willow. In drier areas you can admire oak trees, field elms and maples.

Many animal species live in this area: you may have the chance to see foxes, hares, roe deer and squirrels.
