More than 60 years have passed since Giovanni Prolongo founded the homonymous prosciutto factory, one of San Daniele del Friuli’s oldest companies.

Now in its third generation, the Prolongo family continues to bet on craftsmanship, processing only a few pieces a year of the greatest quality, by hand, with great care. In the historic seasoning cellars, which can be visited by reservation, Prolongo prosciutto rest lulled by sea and mountain breezes, without air conditioning.

The Prolongo family strives every day with dedication and love to obtain a prosciutto recognisable already only by the scent and with a taste that creates amazement with every bite.

During the guided tours by reservation, you can breathe a unique atmosphere, walking among the wooden shelves that welcome the prosciutto during its seasoning process.

A selected part of the prosciutto produced is then reserved to the dedicated store, to allow everyone to take home a small piece of this made in Italy excellence to share with friends and family.

For some years, the same possibility has also been extended to those who live far away.

Through the online shop on the website, it is possible to receive Prolongo prosciutto directly at home.
