Nuova di Villanova Cave

Visit the cave in Alta Val Torre and its galleries that stretch over 8 km. It's the largest cavity in Europe formed by the contact between two different types of rock.

It is the largest contact cavity between two different types of rock which may be visited in Europe. Its galleries, furrowed by and underground torrent, wind their way for 8 kilometres, of which one part is illuminated and easily visited; it is possible to admire numerous eccentric stalactites, which seem to challenge the gravity laws.

There are two types of guided tours, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes or 2 hours and 30 minutes. The temperature inside the cave is all year round about 11° C.
