Villa Attems, located in Lucinico in the Collio area of Gorizia, was first mentioned in a document of the mid-seventeenth century as a possession of the noble Attems Petzenstein family of Gorizia. The park surrounding the property with its evocative and enchanting views was transformed into a real garden in the late 19th century and is home to countless plant varieties. It also has a fountain designed in 1760 by Nicolò Pacassi, an architect at the court of Maria Theresa of Austria, which miraculously survived bombing during World War I. At the old well and in other lovely areas of the park, one can appreciate the history of the family and enjoy a place that respects the style and traditions of the past while discreetly embracing an ever-evolving future.

The historic house offers: A guided tour of the house, park and photographic museum of World War I located in the original WWI bomb shelter. A complimentary glass of wine will be served.
