Wood of Plessiva

Located between Cormòns and Dolegna del Collio, it hosts oaks, black locust trees and chestnut trees.

The Wood of Plessiva, comprised between the municipalities of Cormòns and Dolegna del Collio, lies at a height between 25 and 130 metres and is rich in oaks, black locust trees and chestnut trees.

Populated by the typical local fauna, such as roe deer, fox, badger, hare, pheasant, hawk and buzzard, the wood of Plessiva is the ideal place to spend a couple of hours surrounded by nature.

Along the trails it is easy to see the remains of military structures, because on the rise there was a powder magazine, which was abandoned and swallowed up by the scrub of that area later transformed into a Nature Park.
