Conservation and Enhancement of the Artistic, Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Karst of Castelnuovo.

The Associazione Amici di Castelnuovo (Association Friends of Castelnuovo) is a private non-profit association established with the aim of preserving and enhancing the artistic, historical and cultural heritage of the original settlement in Castelnuovo, in the awareness that in the absence of constant, rigorous and coordinated restoration initiatives where the first six battles of the Isonzo were fought, these living memories scattered in the various trenches, communication trenches and military reserves would be lost.

The Association intends to valorise the Carso site of Castelnuovo in the meritorious work of safeguarding and relaunching the ancient Villa and the Park that surrounds it, and to organise its own initiatives consistent with the achievement of the general aims of tourist, social and cultural promotion of the historic Carso settlement of Sagrado.
