Smart Space: digital exhibition space dedicated to art, culture and landscape narration.

The Smart Space, in the premises of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Gorizia, is an innovative exhibition space that combines digital and real dimensions to narrate cultural and historical contents in an engaging way.

Dedicated to enhancing the cultural heritage of the province of Gorizia and the core of the goGreen project, the Smart Space uses technology to create immersive paths of study and in-depth historical, artistic and scientific study, transforming experience into knowledge.
Central to the development of this space is the theme of sustainability: the exhibits created in the Smart Space will never be abandoned, but will constitute a digital exhibition archive that is always accessible.

The Smart Space is divided into different areas, in which digital experiences are offered integrated with a ‘traditional’ layout, enabling a constant dialogue between the ‘virtual’ and ‘real’ worlds.

16 state-of-the-art visors allow visitors to access a constantly expanding catalogue of VR content.

"Touch screen’ area"
Interactive applications allow in-depth exploration of the topics covered from exhibition to exhibition.

"Immersive experience’ area"
Using the innovative projection mapping technique, the visitor is immersed in a visual and sound narrative of great emotional impact.

"Traditional exhibition area"
Accommodates works of art, objects and installations.
On the occasion of ‘GO!2025 - Nova Gorica Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025’, the Smart Space becomes the place where to discover and deepen the history of Gorizia and its territory, through unprecedented multimedia, immersive and experiential exhibition paths, which tell the story of the city and its territory from 1001 to the present day.

The Smart Space is one of the ‘goGreen Points’ of the goGreen programme, a project of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Gorizia to enhance the cultural, historical and landscape heritage of the province of Gorizia.
The programme promotes a model of sustainable tourism, based on slow mobility and the rediscovery of the relationship between man and nature, with respect for places and environmental resources. Landscape, historical memories, sustainability and innovation
are the main dimensions on which the goGreen experiences are based.
