Ozeljan Castle

Now restored in downtown Ozeljan, the castle features the region's most impressive Baroque garden and is home to the popular pizzeria Grad.

In the centre of Ozeljan village there is church with a fascinating feature – a villa directly touching the church building. The east side of the villa boasts an outdoor fireplace, and the south side still shows signs of the once splendid terraced park. Based on its design, this is the most impressive Baroque garden in the Goriška region, and one of the few with this level of sophistication when it comes to garden design elements. Sadly these are considerably damaged. The renovated castle today features the popular Pizzeria Grad.
