Shoemaking Museum

The museum presents a collection of tools, machinery and accessories that highlight the centuries-old shoemaking and leather goods tradition, among the first shoemaking cooperatives in Slovenia and the Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
Shoemaking MuseumMiren is famous for its centennial leatherworking and shoemaking traditions, having had one of the first shoemaking cooperatives in then Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
The Miren Leather and Shoemaking Museum presents leatherworking tools, instruments and machinery used by shoemakers in various historical periods. Guests can also see a rich photography collection and the multimedia presentation Shoes the Old Way. Prior reservation is required.
