Situated in the town of Solkan, Villa Bartolomei is an 18th century country house that was converted into a museum in the 1980s. The villa houses several permanent collections of the Regional museum Goriški muzej, including an exhibition about the conservation and restoration activity, providing glimpses behind the scenes of museum work, with a modern twist.The interdisciplinary exhibition UnForgotten items (NePozabljeni predmeti) is especially captivating. The exhibition introduces many objects that were used in the past, but fell out of use in the course of time, rendering them forgotten, or such that were eventually replaced with modern iterations.
