Private collection of technical heritage and ethnological technology
In an idyllic setting in the Karst, a private collection of objects used by our ancestors is exhibited thematically – those that are slowly falling into oblivion. The collection includes tools employed in the professions that once were important in the Karst (blacksmith, carpenter, stonecutter, shoemaker, wheelwright, etc.), along with old agricultural tools and household accessories.
The village of Kosovelje was actively involved in World War I, because a military hospital operated in its vicinity. The photographs and the objects found in the surroundings of the village have many tales to tell.
The collection is also interesting for children, as they can see what kind of objects and tools their ancestors used.
