Senzorium is a pioneer of sensorial theatre in Slovenia. This kind of theatre uses the method of sensorial language, which includes specific features such as audience interactivity, multisensory perceptions, and internationally and interculturally understandable content.
Artists Out of Residence is aimed primarily at those who have not experienced war, helping them to understand and empathize with immigrants who have lost their homes and been forced to embark on dangerous journeys to Europe. This sensorial theatre installation will put visitors in the shoes of someone crossing a border, showing them the experience of a person travelling without a passport, homeland, friends, or relatives, which is the reality of a myriad of people encountered every day in European cities. The aim is to sensitise European citizens, increasing their awareness, understanding, and empathy with respect to immigration.
