Crossings explores the dynamics of migration and border crossings in a digitalised society, where people's identities become numbers, and shows how unrestrained technology is driving us towards a new social reality of artificial intelligence.
In the fight against the dehumanisation of contemporary society, the BridA collective has chosen surveillance systems and information subsystems as its artistic medium: its project looks at the issue of the use of this kind of technology under the guise of security, which ultimately limits our freedom. Through this installation, the role of surveillance technology is reversed, moving people in order to create content that is used to generate free visual and audio interactive compositions in real time.
