The Doblar Hydroelectric Power Plant shares the beauty of the murmur and the power of the emerald waters with the Soča River. To preserve and celebrate the industrial heritage of the Soča River, Soške Elektrarne Nova Gorica has created a permanent tribute to the significance of energy and electrification in western Slovenia. This includes the establishment of a Museum of Energy and Renewable Energy Sources within the region’s oldest still-operating hydroelectric power plant. The museum tells the story of a pivotal moment in industrialization and progress, highlighting the evolution of energy supply along the Soča River while valuing its industrial heritage and the advancement of science.
