The Library of Seeds – Green Library by France Bevk Public Library plays a vital role in reshaping the library's image as a hub for raising awareness and acquiring new, practical knowledge. The initiative focuses on environmental issues and sustainability, promoting ways to reduce environmental impact, such as recycling, adopting renewable energy sources, and utilizing eco-friendly materials for construction and equipment.
With the introduction of The Library of Seeds in a public library setting, we aim to emphasize the library's educational role, inspire individuals to actively engage in their communities, preserve cultural and natural heritage, and strengthen connections among community members. Our library proudly stands as the first of its kind in Slovenia.
The Library of Seeds, the latest "green service" offered by France Bevk Public Library, allows users to borrow items for both work and leisure, further supporting sustainable practices and resource-sharing within the community.
