One hundred artists under the age of 35 from across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East will gather for the 20th edition of the biennial, which has so far launched numerous prominent creators in contemporary visual arts. The topic: borderless! The artists draw inspiration from the traditions of Ravnikar, Basaglia, Pasolini, and Rusjan, while bringing with them experiences of intercontinental migrations and regional episodes of the world wars. At venues across the ECoC district—from Carinarnica and EPICenter to the Tir Gallery in Mostovna—paintings, graphics, sculptures, spatial interventions, and live performances will be showcased from May 31 to June 30. During the opening residency, the winners of the German Jugendkunst Triennial will also join, creating and exhibiting their works in the Lantieri Palace in Gorizia.
