44th Award Sergio Amidei

The ‘Sergio Amidei’ Prize returns to Gorizia from 17 to 23 July in its 44th edition.

The 44th International Award for the Best Screenplay ‘Sergio Amidei’, which has the patronage of AGIS - Italian General Association of the Performing Arts, ANAC - National Association of Cinematographic Authors, 100autori and FICE - Italian Federation of Cinema d'Essai, will take place from Thursday 17 to Wednesday 23 July 2025 in an important year for the city, the year in which Nova Gorica/Gorizia is the European Capital of Culture, the first cross-border one. The venues of the Prize are the arena of Piazza Vittoria, the heart of the city, a strategic place for the four-year period 2022-2025, the halls of Kinemax Gorizia in Piazza Vittoria 41 (Premio Lizzani 2019 at the 76. Mostra d'Arte Cinematografica di Venezia ex-aequo with the Cinema Farnese in Rome), the Mediateca.GO ‘Ugo Casiraghi’ (Via Bombi 7), both located within the Palazzo del Cinema - Hiša, the headquarters of ‘BorGO Cinema’ and Via Rastello.

Among important novelties and consolidated certainties, the sections of the ‘Sergio Amidei’ Award are: The International Prize for Best Screenplay, the Prize for the Artwork, Prize for Cinematic Culture, the Audience Prize, Witnesses, Serial Writing, Private Stories, Public Memoirs, Screenplay Dialogues, Amidei Kids, Independent Looks, Agora, Tribute to Nanni Loy, Visti e Rivisti, Private Stories, Public Memoirs, Masterclasses, Pages of Cinema, Special Events organised in collaboration with other festivals.
