CATS

CATS

The quintessential musical comes to life against an unprecedented backdrop, Rome, in the version by Italian director and producer Massimo Romeo Piparo.

An irresistible colony of anthropomorphized cats singing and dancing on the ruins of the Eternal City, in a magical atmosphere marked by fantasy, drama, romance, and great music.

After the great success of past seasons with record-breaking numbers and repeated sold-out performances, 'Cats' returns to the stage, with the grand production by PeepArrow Entertainment in collaboration with Teatro Sistina – under exclusive license from The Really Useful Group, London – directed by the most active and creative Italian musical director, producer, and adapter, Massimo Romeo Piparo.

The quintessential musical, that changed the history of this genre, with music by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Nobel Prize Thomas Stearns Eliot, will feature a large cast of over 30 artists and choreography by Billy Mitchell, the choreographer of London's West End and current associate choreographer for Andrew Lloyd Webber's recent productions, from School of Rock to Cinderella.

For the first time ever, 'Cats' by Massimo Romeo Piparo has received permission from the author to be set in Rome, in a hypothetical and futuristic “dump” of artworks and archaeological remains, with the Colosseum in the background. On stage, the audience will see the artists move like real felines, all undergoing special, long makeup sessions for a surprisingly realistic metamorphosis. The result is a triumph of meowing, black noses, whiskers, long tails, and padded paws.
