Europe, War and Peace

Europe, War and Peace The free and open to the public event will address the many challenges facing Europe in an unstable and ever-changing international context. Crucial topics such as the war in Ukraine, coups in the Sahel and the Gaza crisis will be discussed.

The limits shown by the European Union on the international stage will be examined and the perception of being at a historical crossroads will be reflected upon. How can the EU relaunch its role as a global player?

These and other topics will be discussed on Wednesday 11 September at 6 p.m. at the Auditorium della Cultura Friulana in Gorizia by Prof. Matteo Legrenzi (Ca'Foscari University, Venice), Dr Irene Panozzo (formerly Political Advisor EU special Representative Horn of Africa), and Prof. Vittorio Emanuele Parsi (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan). Introduced by Prof. Giuseppe Ieraci (University of Trieste), moderated by Prof. Federico Donelli (University of Trieste).

The event has been organised thanks to the contribution of BCC Friuli Venezia Giulia, Fondazione CARIGO, Fondazione CRTRIESTE and Consorzio per lo Sviluppo del Polo Universitario di Gorizia, with the patronage of the Municipality of Gorizia and in collaboration with EGTC GO.
