Hike to Sabotin and fly back
The Polet Association of Nova Gorica organises a hike to Sabotin and fly back.
In good weather, the hike to Sabotin Hill will start at the Solkan Bridge car park. From Sabotin, we will fly over Nova Gorica and land on the meadow in front of the Perla Gaming and Entertainment Centre. The event is open to all paragliders from Slovenia and abroad. After the landing, there will be a small gathering and a demonstration of the flying devices and equipment.
The Polet Paragliding Association of Nova Gorica was founded in 1990 and has been promoting the sport since the beginning. During this time, they have trained over 500 new paragliders and over 200 tandem pilots. Every year, they organise events to clean up their airstrip and landing area. They do not limit themselves to flying, but often go on other trips (to the mountains, skiing, sailing, etc.).
