Kindly invited to a community lunch near the Koren Stream in Nova Gorica

On 19 October 2024, from 1 p.m. onwards, a community lunch with the local community and trees entitled In Dialogue with Trees will be organised near the Koren Stream in Nova Gorica. The event is part of the Green in Cities Initiative and GO! 2025 official programme.

The organiser, the University of Nova Gorica, warmly invites you to bring your unique experiences, knowledge, and ideas to the table as they will embark on an exciting journey to co-design and co-create the naturalistic urban orchard in Nova Gorica. The aim of the project is to create a vibrant space that would celebrate both nature and community.

The point of the initiative is to question whether all these bodies, things, and other isolated elements move against immovable and resigned landscape scenarios. The landscape is always moving, even if not perceptible. Our territorial tendencies to build borders, properties, categories, and walls often fail precisely because all these movements create new and powerful spatial patterns, consisting of actors and 'backgrounds' that influence and shape each other.
