More than Jazz project - Musical collective, made up of musicians who are very heterogeneous in terms of training and artistic experience

LaPeka is a collective formed in Trieste in January 2023, made up of musicians who are very heterogeneous in terms of training and artistic experience. The intent of the collective is to propose its own idea of music, going beyond the logic of musical genre.
The repertoire of original pieces proposed by the group is dominated by a varied Afro-Latin rhythmic matrix on which rest melodies inspired by popular music and jazz improvisations. The band is currently recording its first album, which will be released in September 2024. On 16 February 2024, the live video of the band’s first single, entitled ‘Ruska Zakuska’, was released on streaming platforms.
