Italian virtuosa, cellist and pianist Miriam Prandi is one of the fastest rising stars of her generation. After a performance of Dvořák's Cello Concerto at Zurich's Tonhalle, the Schweizer Musikzeitung praised, among other things, her "surprising expressive sincerity". A member of the Orchestra of the Academia della Scala, she has played at the Scala di Milano. She has given solo concerts with the Haydn Orchestra under Michel Mariotti in Bolzano, Trento, Florence and elsewhere. With pianist Alexander Romanovsky, she has appeared for Rai Radio 3 in the Cappella Paolini in Rome's Quirinal and in well-known chamber music concerts such as the Amici della Musica in Verona, the Musica Insieme Bologna and the Associazione Chamber Music in Trieste. Miriam has won numerous international competitions (e.g. Rahn Musikpreis, Geminiani, Muzio Clementi) and has been the recipient of scholarships from prestigious institutions (Lyra Stiftung, Ambrosoli, Rahn Kulturfonds).
