My Border is Your Border

An event in the framework of the "e" project. "e" is a broad initiative that is part of the official GO! 2025 programme "My border is your border/Il tuo confine è il mio confine". The project focuses on the need to promote a more united Europe and is led by the Vicino/Lontano Cultural Association with the support of the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica-Gorizia 2025 and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The "e" is a journey in 27 stages - just like the 27 EU countries, along the borders of Italy, Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. It started in Sankt Peter in Holz in Carinthia and will end in Trieste on Friday 30 August.
Programme:
6 p.m. - guided tour of Jewish Gorizia, led by Lorenzo Drascek; departure from the Gorizia synagogue (Via Graziadio Isaia Ascoli 19, Gorizia) and arrival at the Jewish cemetery in Rozni Dolina.
7 p.m. - meeting "Gorizia the day before yesterday" with Hans Kitzmüller, Renato Podberšič and Giustina Selvelli, with a contribution by Anton Špacapan Vončina, in the courtyard of the former ossuary of the Jewish cemetery in Rozni Dolina
8.30 p.m. - banquet organised by the organisers in the courtyard of the former ossuary of the Jewish cemetery
9.30 p.m. - start of the performance in the courtyard of the former ossuary of the Jewish cemetery Participation is free of charge and no reservation is required.
The project partners are the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts ZRC SAZU, the Cultural Centre of the University of Klagenfurt UNIKUM, the Study Centre Nediža from Spetrum, the Foundation Paths of Peace in Posočje and the Cultural Association Bottega Errante from Udine; the Agency for Research and Innovation ARIS, the Production Centre En Knap from Ljubljana, the Tib Teater from Belluno, and the Regional Agency for the Friulian Language ARLeF are also participating.
